Description Woodland Springs is set in the small hamlet of Venton within the beautiful Dartmoor National Park. It is 1.5 miles from the A30 with easy access. This make it an ideal base for visiting Devon, Cornwall and the South West. The site is in natural surroundings of countryside, woodlands and farmland. It offers a mixture of pitches from all grass through to full hard standing. Dogs are most welcome and have a full field to exercise in. Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to this quiet and tranquil park. There are plenty of walks from the site and nearby with Fishing, Golf, Cycle Hire, Horse Riding, Swimming, Steam Railways and many other activities nearby. There's also the moors of Dartmoor, the Teign Valley and many other areas to explore. |

The Park has been maintained in keeping with the natural environment to encourage wildlife. Deer, foxes and rabbits are regular visitors and with over 45 species of birds seen on the park over the past few years. It makes an ideal base for bird watching. There is a small area of uncut land that has been left for the natural growth of plants, grass and trees. It is also a haven for insects, birds and small mammals. Our park changes greatly through the seasons. You can see a large variety of flora and fauna, these are documented in the Wealth of Wildlife report that is available for you to read in reception. |

If you like to spend your time reading or painting and drawing Woodland Springs is the ideal place for you. It's also a great place to hide away and simply relax. The Park is usually attended and night time security is maintained by the gate being locked at 11:00pm and reopened at 07:30am. Chris and Jan live on site and are available if you have any questions, problems or need an extra pair of hands with your awning etc. We have been caravanning for 30+ years and like to think we have a good idea of what our visitors would like. |

Facilities Electric Hook ups, Small Shop with off licence, Fresh Bread baked daily,Brand New Toilet and Shower block with disabled facilities and incorporating the Dish Washing room and Laundry, Information point with freezer and coffe machine, Waste Water point, Chemical waste disposal point, Motorhome waste water disposal point, Dog Exercise Area, Day Kennels, Calor Gas. Cycles can be hired by phone and delivered direct to the site. |

Directions Coming from either East or West along the A30, turn off at the Whiddon Down junction (follow services sign). Follow the A382 towards Moretonhampstead. At the next roundabout turn left still following the A382 towards Moretonhampstead. About 1 mile from the roundabout on the left you will see the small signpost to Venton with the familiar touring park brown sign. Woodland Springs is signposted on the A382 with the brown tourist caravan signs and the site name from the A30. |
